Banaras has spent centuries turning thread, surface and patience into cloth worth keeping. The looms here taught us that weight is not a cost — it is the point. BANARASIAN takes that habit and points it at ordinary clothing: denser cotton, honest construction, cuts that hold their line after a hundred washes.

Why the weight

Most everyday tees sit between 150 and 180 GSM. That is why they go thin at the collar and start reading the shape of your body after a month. We start at 240 GSM and go up to 450 GSM, which changes the equation entirely: the garment holds a silhouette on its own.

- Long-staple yarn, bio-washed, ring-spun at high twist. Dense but breathable — the reason the shoulder stays square.
- 450 GSM French terry
- Loop-back terry brushed on the inside face. Absorbs light rather than shine, so navy reads navy, not sheen.
- Construction that carries load
- Shoulder-to-shoulder tape, twin-needle hems, 2x2 ribbing at cuffs and collar. Pre-shrunk before cutting.

Do I have to pay before delivery?
No. Every order is cash on delivery. You pay the delivery partner when the parcel reaches you — there is no advance payment and no OTP.
How long does delivery take?

What if the size is not right?
Message us within 7 days with your order number. We swap the size, and the first reverse pickup is free. Pieces must be unworn and unwashed, with tags on.

Yes. Our tees are 240 GSM combed cotton and our hoodies are 450 GSM French terry — far denser than the 150 to 180 GSM of a typical everyday tee.
